Mind-blowing Metallics

Love to shine and sizzle? SS’13 is the season for you. Call it a space age and futurism merger. If you are the sorts who believe in the power of clothes more than the power of accessories, then this is one trend you cannot miss out on, this Spring Summer.

Gone are those times when metallics meant only silver and golden. 2013 has explored all colours and textures of this raging trend. Brocades, textured, pastels or fiery shades- whatever brings out your personality best, just go for it!

Metallics in all textures and colours

It is time to ditch those sequins and mattes, and go loud metallic.

The emergence of this trend can be attributed to houses like Burberry Prorsum, Jonathan Saunders and Simone Rocha. Celebrities could not spare the charm of this trend and chose to shine all the way.Cara Delevingne, Isabel Lucas, our small wonder Romeo Beckham, Karlie Kloss and Leigh Lazark are amongst a few who have been spotted lighting up lives!

Comes the big question now, how to work this look?

If an entire garment is not your thing, you can incorporate this trend in your accessories- shoes, bags, belts or even makeup. If you are going for an over-all metallic dress, keep the accessories to either zilch or absolutely non-existent. A simple metallic broach or flower can also spark up an outfit, so can a pair of fiery green metallic shoes. Options are many; choice is yours.

Take your pick

Ladies and gentlemen; boys and girls, itโ€™s time to shine on!
